We've been here many times. The food quality is as good as it gets. The sushi is great! The service is usually good, although sometimes it's better than at other times. The way you order is somewhat unusual. We always leave "stuffed to the gills".
I have eaten at Makinos many times. The food is always very good and staff is always prompt. When I come to a restaurant, I go to eat, not to carry on a conversation with the staff. They seem a bit shy but I have always had satisfactory service on food delivery and drink refills. Their sushi rolls are phenomenal, their hibachi isn't the best ive had but its always been good. For those complaining about not being able to get the food themselves like at a traditional buffet - I honestly prefer to order and have food brought to me than stand in a line waiting for people to decide on what they want, and sharing the serving spoons, etc. For an all you can eat restaurant, this place is a great value.
It's a Buffet, but you have to order and they will serve it to you..Food was great and fresh
We've only ordered delivery. Nothing fancy about the food but it's solid sushi. They have a great three roll combo that's well priced.
food is amazing and fresh everytime we have never had a bad experience here!! we always get great service as well. one of our favorite sushi spots! if you give this place a try get the dumplings, soo good! :)
I love coming here. I am transplant from Arizona, my family from California and Japan. Every time I come to the city I come here to get my sushi fix. The miso soup is not packet which is good. Seaweed salad is always fire and tuna and salmon are good. Always good service. I've been to many Japanese restaurants and this is one of my favorites. I recommend this place but not if your picky
